June 14th and there are some young Hares 6 weeks old, (photo been added) and another 4 born on the 10th.
We have had the first Hare show earlier this month and the winner was an adult of Dave Pounder's. My mottley crew got 4 seconds and a third, but I was quite pleased with that as non were in ideal coat.
April '08 sees a couple of photos added to the Hare gallery of a buck who has had quite a few wins and Rod born 01.01.08, who came 2nd in a class of 27 quality rabbits today 19/4
March '08 and there is another litter of 7 in the nest. The babies born the first day of the year are ready to go and are very beautiful.
Three Hares are reserved to go to the USA. (but they didn't go in the end due to not enough Polish being available to accompany them)

Again things are changing. We are hoping to move home this year to a bungalow in the country. This year I have gone on my own with the Hares. I have a litter born the first day of the year. This is to the doe who broke her heel 3 months earlier. There are 7 healthy babies.
The 4 Hares born November 5th are superb. I have a buck & a doe spare in this litter.
I have been doing some work to the Book of the Belgian Hare by Ernest Wilkins. He kept Hares from the 1800's but this book is still used as "the Hare book" The book will hopefully be republished this year with additional paragraphs taken from articles written by Wilkins in 1940. There is also going to be an addition about Coloured Hares.
I have as many old Mini Lop pets as I have breeding stock. I have supplied some Sooty Fawns who have gone on to win and I have a nice Sooty Fawn buck who might win for me in 2008.
November '07
I have a litter of 4 Hares born November 5th to Rachel who is the daughter of Roxana. Sad news though that Roxana died probably due to pregnancy problems whilst I was visiting the American Convention in Grand Rapids in October. Unfortunate news too that the doe who should have gone to America broke her heel when I let her out for a run the day before shipping. She will hopefully still make a breeding doe for me. Her sister went in her place. Since she arrived she has had 4 Best of Breeds and a Reserve Best in show where there were about 1000 rabbits.
September 2007
Neil sold most of his youngsters and has also supplied two new breeders with mated does.
One of those was Paul Threapleton who got Best in Show at the B.B.H.C. show at Mansfield Aug 27th with one of the youngsters.
I have sold two Hares to Sweden where they were well received.
I have had success with a litter from Roxana, who was born 2004 and in that year won 6 Best in Shows. Her father was a Winston Laud buck. One of her daughters has had 2 Best in Shows and a Reserve best. She is heading for the USA later this month along with a pair of young Hares from Neil. Her sister won Best in Show yesterday, Sept. 16th. There is a buck in the same litter I hope will soon follow in their footsteps. They were also fathered by a Winston Laud buck.
February 2007
Neil has again been able to make an early start with his Hare breeding and he has three litters.
Spring 2006
This is a new website to reflect the way things have moved on with Harris and Hoyle.
Due to both parties now being retired, priorities have made them take different directions.
Neil Harris is committing himself to more Rabbits and Hares also his son has joined him in the rabbitry with a stud of Polish. Maureen is showing and breeding less due to family commitments.
